Property Planner

Maintenance planning is a persistent challenge in property management, often resulting in unexpected and costly repairs. To address this, we developed Property Planner—a tool designed to give landlords greater transparency and control over their property’s long-term care.

This project also marked an important step in expanding Tapi’s B2C offerings within its PropTech platform, providing both property managers and landlords with a smarter way to manage maintenance.

The story behind Property Planner

Property management often involves a reactive approach to maintenance, leading to unexpected costs and inefficiencies. Landlords, in particular, struggle with a lack of transparency regarding the upkeep of their properties, which leaves them dealing with issues only after they arise.

Market Context

At the time, there were almost no solutions for proactive maintenance planning in residential properties. Recognizing this gap, we developed the idea of Property Planner as a novel solution at Tapi. This tool would not only benefit our users but also serve as a unique selling point for our business, setting us apart in the market.

User Needs

Through our research, we identified that landlords needed a way to proactively manage their properties’ maintenance, avoiding the stress and cost of last-minute repairs. They wanted a tool that was easy to use, provided real-time updates, and allowed them to plan ahead with confidence.

Vision

The vision for Property Planner was to create a seamless, integrated tool that serves both property managers and landlords.

• For property managers, it needed to be directly built into Tapi’s core platform, streamlining their maintenance tasks.
• For landlords, the focus was on a mobile app that provided real-time access to their maintenance plan, empowering them to take charge of their properties’ long-term care.
